• A computer program system, combining the database MALT with the software ChemSage for phase equilibrium calculations, was developed to deal with problems encountered in metallurgical processes. This system has been applied to the simulation of several processes. As an example, some simulation results of a new ironmaking process-smelting reduction process are described.
