The specific electrical conductivities of binary molten salts of LiF-NaF, LiF-KF, LiF-CaF_2 and LiF-BaF_2 systems have been measured with the following results : 1) The melting point of lithium fluoride is 845℃ and its specific electrical conductivity at 900℃ is 8.58 ohm^<-1> cm^<-1> and at 1000℃ is 9.31 ohm^<-1> cm^<-1>. 2) The specific electrical conductivity of potassium fluoride at 900℃ is 4.31 ohm^<-1> cm^<-1>. 3) The specific electrical conductivity of the simple eutectic system, LiF-NaF has been measured in the composition range of 20-60 mol % NaF at 800℃, 0-80% at 900℃ and at 1000℃ in the whole composition range considering the melting temperature. 4) The specific electrical conductivity of the similar simple eutectic system, LiF-KF has been measured at 900℃ and 1000℃ in the whole composition range, while the measurements at 800℃ have been made in the composition range of 20〜80 mol % KF considering the melting temperature also. 5) In both of LiF-NaF and LiF-KF binary systems, the conductivity decreases almost parabolically with an increase in NaF or KF content and these results are explained well by "Kuroda's approximated formula" indicating that the ionic species contributing to the electric conduction are Li^+, Na^+, K^+ and F^- ions. 6) Phase diagram of LiF-CaF_2 binary system is also a simple eutectic type. The specific electrical conductivity of this system has been measured in the composition range of 0〜30 mol % CaF_2 at 900℃. and 0〜40% at 1000℃ considering the liquidus of the system. The conductivity decreases almost parabolically with an increase in CaF_2 content. Measured values of the conductivity agree well with the calculated values according to the "Taniuchi's modified formula". Therefore, it is determined that the ionic species of this binary molten salt which take part in the electric conduction are Li^+, Ca^<++> and F^-. 7) In LiF-BaF_2 binary system, a compound LiF・BaF_2 is formed by the peritectic reaction : Melt+BaF_2 〓 LiF・BaF_2 Considering the melting temperature of this binary system, the specific electrical conductivity has been measured in the composition range of 0〜60 mole % BaF_2 at 1000℃, 0〜50% at 900℃ and near the eutectic composition of LiF and LiF・BaF_2 at 800℃. The conductivity decreases almost parabolically with an increase in BaF_2 content. The effect of the chemical compound on the conductivity has not been observed. 8) In any of the molten salt systems in this study, the specific electrical conductivity decreases similarly with decreasing temperature at a rate of about 10% per 100℃.
