A simple procedure is proposed for analyzing the fast neutron spectrum by threshold detection foils method. The procedure is applied to data obtained from measurements made with threshold detection foils in the Liquid Helium Temperature Loop of JRR-3 (Japan Research Reactor -3). The fast neutron spectrum in the loop is found to be quite close to the fission spectrum. While no established method is available yet for estimating the fast neutron flux, the proposed method permits approximate analysis of the fast neutron spectrum by means of extremely simple calculations.
