Cast iron is easily pulverized with a stamp mill. When heated, the molded powder does not shrink but expands according to the elevation of the heating temperature and is not easily solidified. The object of this study is to trace various phenomena appearing in the sintering process of cast iron powder, to clarify the cause of expansion, to remove the cause and to make possible the sintering of cast iron powder or cast iron dust powder.
