The photoacoustic spectrum (PA) of the supersonic conductor Ag_3SBr has been measured in the range of 0.7-4.5 eV at room temperature. From the PA signal, the band gap energy E_g has been assigned to be 1.85eV, the magnitude of which is between those of Ag_3SI and AgBr. This value is ascertained from the darkening phenomenon and optical dielectric constant ∈_∝.
