The displacement or strain at low frequency in an inhomogeneous soft tissue could be directly applied to clinical diagnosis as a dynamic visualized palpation for internal living tissues. However, for this dynamical imaging the lateral displacement on tissue cross section should be evaluated with excellent accuracy by using a conventional B-mode array transducer. By using 2-dimensional complex echo signals which are compressed to 1-bit this small displacement estimation was realized. Furthermore, by successively processing the rf echo frames that are taken at real time, dynamic imaging of 2-dimensional strain was realized.
