In an ordinary measurement, different sensors separately monitor the basis weight (B) and the moisture weight (M) of papers; thus, measurements of the BM weights are not always correct owing to the different measuring parts and times. The purpose of this note is to develop a method for the simultaneous measurements of the BM weights of paper by using a 3 GHz microwave cavity.
