A wavefront sensor that measures the wavefront of a light wave plays an important role in adaptive optics. In this paper, we propose a new wavefront sensor using a 2-dimensional diffraction grating. By this technique, the wacefront can be determined from the measured intensity date of the light passing through the diffraction grating. Using this technique, we measured the wavefront of a spherical wave as well as a light wave distorted by thermal turbulence.
