除草剤CMMPおよび同型酸アミド系化合物の作用特性比較

The following results were obtained by studying general properties, herbicidal properties and selectivities of four kinds of acid amides, the name of which are N-(3-chloro-4-methylphenyl)-2-methylpentanamide (CMMP, solan), N-(3,4-dichlorophenyl)-2-methylpentanamide (DCMP, karsil), N-(3,4-dichlorophenyl)-propionamide (DCPA, propanil) and N-(3,4-dichlorophenyl)-methacrylamide (DCMA, dicryl). ( 1 ) A11 of these compounds were herbicidally effective when applied as preemergence treatment with the concentration of more than 100 grams per are. In this case no difference was found in the strenth of herbicidal effect among these four chemicals. The action of these acid amides on crops, however, were very characteristic. For example CMMP gave low action on tomato plant but DCMP gave high action, though both compounds had identical side chain in their chemical structure. Moreover, although DCMP, DCPA and DCMA had two same radicals in their phenyl ring, these chemicals generally showed the different action on various crops tested in this experiment. Some properties such as strong action on, Komatsuna (Brassica Rapa L. ) and low action on rice plant were in common with those three chemicals. ( 2 ) The herbicidal effect on weeds of these chemicals in postemergence treatment was slso remarkable at the application of more than 10 grams per are, and the descending order of the effect was shown as DCPA<≧>CMMP=DCMP=DCMA. On the other hand, the action on crops were particularly characteristic. CMMP on japanese honewort and tomato plant. DCMP on japanese honewort, DCPA on rice plant and DCMA on cucmber showed rather low action. Besides, the occurrence of the action of these compounds in postemergence treatment came out in general from 48 to 96 hours in CMMP and DCMP, 24 hours in DCPA and from 24 to 48 hours in DCMA after application. ( 3 ) The most adequate application of tested amides was found to be early stage of growth. And it was appeared that light is necessary for those chemicals to exhibit herbicidal activity. Also, the herbicidal action was accerelated by adding phenitrothion (MEP) in emulsified solution of above acid amides.
