Electronic Structure of High T_c Superconducting Layered Perovskite La-Cu-O and Y-Ba-Cu-O by LMTO Method

The electronic energy bands are calculated for the high T_c superconducting materials La_2CuO_4, YBa_2Cu_3O_8 and YBa_2Cu_3O_6, by the LMTO-ASA method. The Cu:3d (x^2-y^2, 3z^2-r^2) bands show several varieties near the Fermi energy.
