The MHD equilibria of a high-β plasma are studied by carring out magnetic measurements in JFT-2. Equilibrium configurations agreeing well with the experimental results are obtained by numerical calculations, and β_p, in the NB injection phase is estimated. Using these calculated equilibrium configuratiomts, two methods of estimating R_p and β_p+l_i/2 from magnetic probe signals are also discussed, and the Fourier analysis method is shown to give a more accurate value of R_p and β_p+l_i/2 even under high-β conditions.
