A photomultiplier using electron oscillation with easily-manufucturable co-axial electrodes is presented and the operation is analysed. The simulation of the electron multiplication process is given. The incoming light signal is sampled in every period of the applied high frequency electric field, and the output is obtained in the form of a pulse train with the same period as the high frequency field. Although there are useless returning electrons in a specific emitting direction, there is no cross-talk produced by the superposition with the preceding arrival region of electrons. A fundamental experiment by a thermionic cathode tube at frequency 160 MHz is carried out, and the electron motion expected by the analyses is observed.
