Preparation of the Supereonducting Nb_3Ge Tape by a Continuous CVD Process

Superconducting Nb_3Ge tapes were produced by a continuous chemical vapour deposition. The critical current density of these tapes was the order of 10^5 A/cm^2 at 100 kOe and 4.2 K. The upper critical field was estimated to be 320 kOe at 0 K. The maximum onset temperature of the superconducting transition was 20.5 K.
