Optical properties of latex crystals are studied by three different methods near the melting point. The different methods are: Optical transmission, Bragg-reflection, and Debye-Scherrer diffraction. The structure of the latex lattice turned out to be sc (simple cubic), possibly with some bcc (body centered cubic) mixture. Optical inelastic scattering by the latex lattice appears to be the dominating process of diffraction.
