Induction of pyrophosphate dependent phosphofructokinase (PFP) activity in the cotyledons of C. lanatus coincides with only an increase in the β-subunit content. After normoxic induction of PFP activity a subsequent exposure to anoxia causes a sharp decline in activity and the β-subunit content.
