The heavier form of ferredoxin-NADP^+ reductase was extracted from spinach leaves or chloroplasts and isolated as the major fraction at high ionic strengths with ammonium sulfate or sodium chloride. At low ionic strengths, the form with the higher molecular weight was relatively unstable and was converted gradually into the lower form. We concluded that the enzyme exists in vivo as the form with the higher molecular weight.
