On the Species of the Genus Mogannia AMYOT et SERVILLE, 1843 (Homoptera, Cicadidae), of the Ryukyus and Taiwan

• Five species of the genus Mogannia AMYOT et SERVILLE are recognized from the Ryukyus and Taiwan ; they are M. cyanea WALKER, 1858, M. formosana MATSUMURA, 1907, M. basalis MATSUMURA, 1913, M. hebes (WALKER, 1858) and M. minuta MATSUMURA, 1907. M. nigrocyanea MATSUMURA, 1913, and M. bella KATO, 1927, are treated as synonyms of M. cyanea ; M. fasciata KATO, 1925, M. formosana fuscomaculata KATO, 1925, M. kashotoensis KATO, 1925, and M. kanoi KATO, 1925, as synonyms of M. formosana ; M. delta KATO, 1925, and M. subfusca KATO, 1928, as synonyms of M. hebes ; M. iwasakii MATSUMURA, 1913, as a synonym of M. minuta. Biological notes are also given.
