Body small, about 3 mm in length, limaciform, the surfaces very finely rugose. Head rather large, the antero-lateral cornes produced into a pair of short conical rhinophores without an external groove. Back broad and bare. Branchial papillae roughly fusiform, of varying sizes; 10-11 in number, arranged on dorso-lateral margins in a single longitudinal row. Anus immediately behind the pericardium, slightly to the right of the middorsal line. Genital orifice on the right side immediately beneath and behind the 1st branchia. Foot expanded, broader than body, its anterior end abruptly rounded, bilabiate. General body-colour black, lighter on sole. Rhinophores and lateral margins of head white; branchiae and tail tipped with white. Liver divertieula faintly olive-coloured. Radula formed by a single row of Sacoglossan teeth, 4in the descending series, 10 in the ascending series, and about 15 in an irregular heap. Teeth simply blade-like without denticles. Loc. :Tomioka, Amakusa(Feb. 1937; 1 sp., on Zostera marina). This new species in its general organization appears to be referable to the genus Alderiα, but differs greatly from the well-known type modesta(LOVEN)in having: a pair of distinct rhinophores, a single branchial row on both sides, and an anus immediately behind the pericardium. It agrees with comosa COSTA in the position of the anus, but has fewer branchiae and a different coloration.
