On TCP Window Sizes over Large Bandwidth-Delay Product Networks

Recently there is too much speculation on the performance of TCP over high-speed networks particularly concentrating on the IP over ATM option. In this report we present some simple simulation results regarding the window size extension option defined in RFC 1323. However we do not assume any particular high-speed communication scheme. Simulations are performed by using OPNET Modeler of MIL 3, Inc.
