Larvae of Neodorippe japonica, Dorippe dorsipes, and D. granulata belonging to the subfamily Dorippinae were successfully reared in the laboratory from hatching to the last zoeal stage by feeding on Artemia nauplii. In all three species, four zoeal stages occur, which are described and illustrated in detail in this paper. The features common to larvae of the three species are as follows : the cephalothorax bearing a very long rostral and dorsal spines, but no lateral ones ; antenna II of the type A_3 and telson of the type C (Aikawa, 1929, 1933) ; small and simple coxa of maxilla II ; setations on the endopods of maxillae I and II and maxilliped II, and on the protopods of maxillipeds I and II. Moreover, setations of the coxa of maxilla I are 3・2(5) in stages I and II, and 3・3(6) in stage III ; estations of the basis of maxilla II are 4・4, 4・5, and 5・5 in stages, I, II and III ; those of the endopod of maxilliped I are 4・1-2-1-2-3 in stages I and II, and 4・2-2-1-2-3 in stages III and IV ; the pleopods appear for the first time as rod-like processes in stage IV. On the other hand, there are minor differences among the three species : in N. japonica, the endopod rudiment of antenna II becomes visible in stage II as a small blunt process, whereas in the two species of the genus Dorippe, it is not yet visible in this stage ; in stage IV, the coxa of maxilla I and the outer lobe of the basis of maxilla II have seven and six setae, respectively, in N. japonica, seven and five, in D. dorsipes, and eight and six in D. granulata ; the coxa of maxilla II bears two setae in all larval stages in D. dorsipes, while the setae increase to three in stage III in D. granulata and in stage IV in N. japonica.
