In Japan, 22GHz, 26GHz and 38GHz frequency bands are assigned to Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) systems, Point To Point (PTP) and Point To Multi Point (PTMP) systems. Although radio communication systems using quasi-millimeter wave have several disadvantages such as "line of sight" issue and small cell size of communication area, they have several advantages such as broadband communication and easy installation. For popularization of FWA system, it is necessary to achieve smaller size and more cost-effective transceiver. Simplifying its structure and adopting lower cost material will reduce the cost of quasi-millimeter wave circuits. Devices are installed on the simple chip carrier board by using conductive adhesive and covered with electromagnetic shield lid. And diplexer can be surface mount type by using dielectric wave-guide cavity resonator. These parts are mounted on the both sides of transceiver circuit board by re-flow soldering method that improves productivity. We report orientation of quasi-millimeter wave transceiver products by introduction of smaller size transceiver development.
