Health promotion is a very active topic in recent years. Most people want to become a regular exerciser, but there are various obstacles to keep staying motivated in their busy life today. In this paper, we propose a system design that aims to support in constituting a comprehensive infrastructure for a wellness exercise environment. The design satisfies several crucial needs for people of different ages when they perform exercise. Both indoor and outdoor exercises should be considered to establish an indeed meaning of undertaking exercise at any time and at any place. In our design, web-based technology has been widely adopted to implement a platform-nature solution in a heterogeneous computing environment. We resolve the actually existent problem in principle that is exercise usage environments will be different from each other for exercisers. Moreover, a new design of an intelligent wearable unit that integrates measurement and control functions into one device has been developed. The wearable unit constructs a bridge between various normal exercise machines and exercise controlling program providers. Accordingly, it can be further helpful for meeting the challenge of easily assembling a number of different approaches depending on desires of exercisers. Our system design is an enterprise solution, and it was proved to be workable in our feasibility experiments.
