The true impulse response of the echo path cannot be estimated by a stereo echo canceler based on linear combination (LC).This is because the number of independent equations, which are expressed in terms of the residual echo, filter coefficients, impulse response, and the input signal, is reduced by interchannel correlations between the right and the left input signals. This paper proposes a new stereo echo canceler whose filter coefficients converge to the true impulse response samples of the echo path.
