This paper proposes a scheme for quantitative evaluation of user-level QoS for audio-video transmission with two psychological methods ; the method of paired comparisons and the law of comparative judgement. Moreover, we discuss a QoS mapping method from application-level QoS into user-level QoS by multiple regression analysis. Experimental results show that a user-level QoS parameter that represents human subjectivity for an audio-video stream can be constructed with the sceme. Also, we select two application-level QoS parameters by principal component analysis and show that the user-level QoS parameter can be estimated from them with high accuracy.
