An ultra wide angle radiation antennas are useful in many applications such as satellite tracking systems. The conductor planes are widely used as reflectors to modify the radiation properties of a radiating element. In this paper, the analysis of a bent wire half wavelength antenna reflected by the right angle conductor planes has been carried out. The main objective is to obtain an antenna which has an ultra wide angle radiation. The radiation patterns of this antenna were computed using an effective electromagnetic simulation tool. The validity of the simulation tool was shown by experimental results. To obtain an ultra wide angle radiation antenna, it is necessary to adjust the size of the conductor planes as well as the distance between the wire and the conductor planes. After computing with a number of different configurations, an antenna model having radiation pattern approaching what was desired was obtained. All computations were conducted near 2GHz, a frequency close to that of the satellite tracking systems. This antenna model may prove to be a small size and lightweight option as a satellite-borne antenna.
