Nanogram quantities of lead and copper are electrodeposited together with mercury on a silver-plated glassy carbon electrode from 100μl of O.6 M hydrochloric acid, and then anodically stripped by the linear scan technique. This method is applied to the simultaneous determination of lead and copper at the low ppm level in 0.5 to 1 mg of sponge nickel.
