• By the reaction of O, S-disubstituted thiosulfites with thiamine in thiol form, a series of asymmetric thiamine disulfide derivatives were obtained in satisfactory yield. Thiamine propyl-, butyl-, isobutyl-, octyl- and tetrahydrofurfuryldisulfide were synthesized by the new method of disulfide formation. Eight of O, S-disubstituted thiosulfites thus synthesized are new compounds.
