This report describes the outline of an automated data Acquisition system introduced recently for the timekeeping at the National Research Laboratory of Metrology (NRLM), where the realization of SI Second has been performed by evaluating the accuracy of primary frequency standards. In order to contribute to the formation of UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) performed by the BIH (Bureau International de l'Heure) and to examine the degree of agreement between our Second and those of other laboratories, the atomic time scale of the NRLM has been compared with those of foreign laboratories by Loran-C waves and with domestic ones mainly by the TV line-lO method. For these comparison as well as mutual time comparison among atomic clocks in the NRLM, a new measurement system composed of a minicomputer and controllable apparates has been constructed which can acquire the various time comparison data in sequence without any manual operation, at the NRLM in the new site of Tsukuba Science city the move to which had been made in 1980. The minicomputer controls VHF switches to select a pair of time signals to be compared from receivers and clocks one after another and to feed it to a time interval counter, where time difference between time signals in each pair is measured and then stored on a magnetic tape cartridge in the minicomputer
