Dibutyl phthalate was found to inhibit α-glucosidase, α- and β-mannosidases and β-glucosidase, in that order of inhibition strength. Dibutyl phthalate was shown to be a reversible, slow-binding, noncompetitive inhibitor of yeast α-glucosidase with a K_i value of 3.9 μM.
