The combustion with oxygen enriched air has a potential of the fuel savings and the consequent reduction of carbon dioxide emission. However, NOx emission increases with the enrichment of oxygen in the air. The entrainment of exhaust gas is known as to contribute the control of the NOx emission. The entrainment of exhaust gas was examined by three dimensional numerical simulation. This simulation study emphasized the influence of gas velocity and distance between nozzles in the furnace. It is concluded that gas velocity is more important than distance between nozzles.
