D102 Three-Components Velocity Measurement in Unsteady Turbulent Pipe Flows Using a Non-Orthogonal Triple-Sensors Probe(Flow measurement)

New techniques have been developed to measure three-components of instantaneous velocity in unsteady turbulent pipe flows using the Hot-Wire Anemometry. The HWA sensor is composed of triple hot-wires with non-orthogonally oriented each other. Three-sets of the hot-wire signal have been iteratively computed by simultaneously decomposing a set of three non-linear response equations for the effective velocity of hot-wire, to reduce three components of ensemble averages and fluctuations for instantaneous velocities. Also, an automatic correction method has been proposed for the aging deviation of velocity sensitivity of each hot-wire, which is caused by a long-term measurement.
