An improvement of energy conversion efficiency is important for energy saving and for solving the global environmental problems. The two-fluid cycle is dealt with for municipal solid waste(MSW)-burnt power generation, in which the bottoming cycle using C_6H_6, and C_6H_<12> and so on as the working fluid against water in the topping cycle. The performance characteristics of the two-fluid cycle were investigated and compared with those of the single Rankine cycle with the moisture separator. As the result, the optimum plant's thermal efficiency of the two-fluid cycle using C_6H_<12> as the bottoming working fluid is increased by about 1.4% compared with that of the single Rankine cycle with the moisture separator under the main steam temperature of 395℃, and it reaches 24.2%.
