In present experimental investigation of subcooled boiling conducted on a 0.1mm diameter platinum wire, bubble-sweeping phenomenon was observed and associated behavior was examined. For middle or low heat flux, bubbles generated from the wire one by one. Some of them didn't detach immediately, on the contrary, they moved along the upper surface of the wire. Bubbles swept quickly forward-and-backward along the wire and almost kept constant velocity. The phenomenon strongly showed non-gravity characteristics. In this paper, the process of bubble-sweeping is described in detail and the effect induced by sweeping bubbles is argued. An attempt is also made to understand the mechanism of the phenomenon.
