In this report are investigated the characteristics of fluid lubrication of a model which simulates the sliding surfaces of the cylinder block and distributor of an actual axial piston pump. The fluid lubrication theory described in the 1st report is applied to this model with consideration of the tilting angle between the above-mentioned surfaces and the tilting direction. In this case, the geometrical wedge action and the hydrostatic bearing action interact each other, unlike the case in the 2nd report. The calculated results of pressure distribution, thrust, moment, friction torque and leakage show comparatively good agreement with the experimental results. Further-more the problems of the high speed and high pressure axial piston pump are discussed.
