Tangent-sphere coordinates are employed to obtain the slow viscous flow due to the translational motion of a torus without central opening along the axis of symmetry. The drag exerted on it is shown to be given by D=5.61πμa, where a us the diameter of its generating circle. Also is considered the slow steady rotation of the same body.
