The density naatrix renortnalization grotrp (DIVIRG) is a nvnranerical taaethod tltat optimizes avariational state expressed by 21 ter'nsor prodtrct. XX7e slaow tlaat the grourad state is not ftrllyoptimized as f'srr as we trse the standard finite systeraa algor'itlataa, that trses the block strtrcttrreB o oB. This is because the tensors are not iraaproved directly. XNZe overcotne this problern bytrsing the sitnpler lclock strtrcttrre B e B f'or flue firaal several sweeps in tlae firtite iteration process. It is possible to increase tl'xe rtumerical precision of' the finite systeuau algorithtn without increasingthe cotaaputatior'nal effort.
