Dynamical properties due to hopping of an excited kink on the ground state kinklattice are studied in the Frcnkel-Kontorova model in one-dimensional ionic conduc-tors, by an evaluation of the correlation function of kink field density which directlyconcerns the NMR-7'. for the quadrttpole coupling. The hopping is treated by therelaxation mode theory. The resultant relaxation time T. approaches to the co"-dependence when the diffusion length becomes less than the correlation length. Theslope energy of In T., in this case, is determined by the sum of tlte renormalized kinkenergy and half of the kink-activation energy, which is quite consistent with the ob-served value from the NMR-7'. experiment in the K-Al-priderute.
