The effect of an interelectron interaction (U) on electronic properties in one-dimensional quasiperiodic systems (the incommensurate Harper model and the Fibonaccimodel) is studied within the Hartree-Fock (HF) approximation. For the Fibonaccimodel, the HF one-body spectrum remains singttlar continuous (critical wave func-lions) for small l Ul . For the Harper model, on the other hand, the singular con-tinuous spectrum at critical coupling (2.=2) disappears as soon as &is added.
