A phenomenological lattice gas model is used to discuss the ground state configuraLions of the two species adatoms chemisorbed on top of substrate atoms. Thesubstrate atoms form a square lattice. The adsorbed atoms induce the reconstructionof the first layer lattice of the substrate. The ground state phase diagram is obtained. Many commensurate phases with very complex adatom configuration are found. Thecomplexities of the adsorbed pattern is caused by the long range adatom-adatom interactton mediated effectively by the displacements of the first layer atoms ol' thesubstrate.
