The observed rapidity distribution of particles from diffractive state X in pp-+pX is asymmetricwith respect to the kinematic central value y : In(y5/A#) of the system X, where =j and M arec.m.s. energy and invariant mass of X, respectively. In the framework of the geometric quark jetmodel, this asymmetry suggests existence of a leading particle in fragmentation of diffractivelyexcited states.
