Dynamical Casirnir effects caused by a moving mirror and a v;trying dielectric meditrrn arestudied in the effective Hanailtonian approach. The explicit form of the effectnve Hamiltonianfor the uniform, step-wise, and time-dependent dielectric model is derived in addition to thatfor the moving mirror rnodel. The resonant properties of induced photons for both models ?treconsidered and it is fotmnd that in contrast to the rnoving mirror case, the inter-mode transition f'orthe dielectric case is suppressed between the odd-odd levels and lcetween the even-exren levels. The effects of dissipation are also taken into accotmnt by the master equation. For numericalanalyses, a convenient naethod to integrate the time evoltttion is proposed.
