A model with a freedom of molecular sense has been proposed recently for the purpose to certifythe assumptions in the ANNNI rnodel with the third nearest neighbour interaction for successivephase transitions in ferroelectric srnectics. The phase diagraun of that model at the absolutezero temperature and orderings of the sense of uanolecular long axis are examined to clarify themechanism to stabilise the ferrielectric phase (SmC'.) and the intermediate antiferroelectricphase (AF) appearing in such phase transitions. These phases are slaown to be stable in certainarea on a pararneter space, which coincides qualitatively with the results based on tlae ANNINImodel and consequently justifies the minimal theory carried out previovtsly in which negativedefiniteness of the second nearest neighbotrr interaction and the existence of the third nearestneighbour one (or, positiveness) are certified.
