Effects of interaction between metallic electrons and local phonons on physicalproperties are investigated. Distribution function of the local oscillator is calculatedby the Monte Carlo method. The adiabatic potential becomes a double well when theinteraction is sufficiently strong. It is shown that the tunneling motion between thetwo minima of the adiabatic potential is suppressed by the non-adiabatic effects. Alsowe study the consequences of the double well on specific heat and electrical resistivity. It is found that the presence of the double well results in anomalous behaviors ofthese quantities.[Yu-Anderson model, local-phonon model, electron-phonon interaction, A15 1[ compound, Fermi-surface effect1
