The NV8N'C vector of tlte ltelical spira dexasity w'ave stateof lowest euaerg)' is found to be ixt good agreeuneuat xx'iL]t recent uaeutron diffraction ex-perimeuats for fcc iron precipitates. Tlve calculatioua is also carried out for' cltronaium,and difference in claaracteristics of tlte spixa deutsit)' wax'e betxx'een I'ec iron andclaromiu?ta is discussed.
