Positron lifetime spectra in Kl have been measured in the temperature rangebetween 12 K and 295 K. Large changes of the spectrum due to the transition of theortho-positronium from a free state to a self-trapped state have been observed. A newlong-lived component has been found at low temperatures and attributed to theirradiation-induced positive ton vacancy.Ipositron annihilation, positrons in alkali halide, Kl, positronium, positron lj lifetime, self-trapping, positive ion vacancies, experimentl
