A Monte Carlo method is used to simulate the vacancy cascade of Xe atom follow-ing inner-shell ionization. The calculations have been made by tracing successiveradiative and Auger transitions. The effect of electron shakeoff is taken into account. The calculated charge distributions of ions are in good agreement with the experimen-tal results following internal conversion of ""Xe and X-ray photoionization of Xegas.
