The boson transformation method for the superconducting system consistingof two kinds of metals joined together by layered insulators is formulated inorder to confirm the previous results for maximum dc Josephson current in theasymmetrical thin thickness junction. When the thicknesses of two kinds ofmetals are small compared with the London penetration depth, the system isidentified with the uniform system with the effective London penetration depthand the effective boson characteristic function.
