The Effect of Rotation on Convective Instability in a Horizontal Fluid Layer with Internal Heat Generation

The effect of uniform rotation on the onset of convective instability in a hori-zontal fluid layer with uniforntly distributed internal heat sources is consideredusing linear stability theory. Under the assumption that the neutral state is astationary one, the power series method is adoj>fed to obtain the eigenvalueequation which is then computed numerically. The stability conditions influencedby uniform rotation are found for two sets of thermal boundary conditions.
