It was foutad that some electrophysiological events observed at azad around thestate of spontaneous repetitive firizag of a.ctioma potezttials were well simulated bythe modified and/or reduced Hodgkin-Huxley equatio?as. The events tested were;(1) the frequency deperadence of threshold to evoke action potentials wheua themixture ratio of natural sea water (NSW) and 550 mM Nail as external fluidmedium was a paran'meter, (2) linear dependence of tlae threshold upon the externalsodium concentration, (3) the power spectra of fluctuating membrane potentialswhen the mixture ratio of NSW and 550 mM Nail was changed, and (4) effectof external sinusoidal current LIDOII soontaneous rer>etjtive soikes.
