Disordered Fe-Pt Invar alloys (around 30 at % Pi) show anomalous propertiesin both temperature and magnetic field dependences of the magneto-crystallineanisotropy constant K.. A theory has been proposed based on the itinerantelectron model by assuming a strong relationship between K. and the Fermi levelof the minority spin band. The temperature dependence of K. can be explained byusing the present theory. The decrease of the absolute value of K3 with increasingthe external field can also be explained by the present theory.
